Talks continue for a summer clash between WBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and challenger David Haye. Haye's manager and trainer says the fight will likely take place in London around the month of June. A number of issues exist and Booth is negotiating to solve them. The biggest appears to be the purse split. Booth would not say too much on the others. [details]

As I heard it is a pretty much done deal, and secondary details are in discussion.

Why does it have to be June, why not April? It won't leave Wlad with enough time to have a third fight this year.
And Wlad should make sure there's a neutral referee, not some home ref like Haye had in his last fight (Davies).

I hope this fight gets made. It will be a significant fight at HW and it will be interesting to hear "why" Haye wasn't the toughest test for Wlad when Wlad beats him.

I think the Brits and other Europeans shouldn't need to fight at 3 am to please people over on my side of the Atlantic. I enjoy watching boxing on Saturday afternoon anyway...
There no reason people in the US won't watch a fight on Saturday afternoon - it's a great time to have a sporting event on TV.

I've been anxious to hear some news at least on this. I'm struggling to give much weight to some recent articles which aren't always the most reliable and can drastically change. Also, might be worth mentioning which Klit were on about, that of course it HW #1 Wladimir Klitschko, not his brother Vitali as was associated about a fight around the same time, and in the confusion some not up on the goings on might take it as the same Klit.
I hope this comes off, props to Wlad if he does it. Would be interested to know more in general on this. Good for the HW division!!
