Joe Calzaghe needs to fight Chad Dawson if he dosent he can forget claiming to be champ in the 175 pound division I think he is scared to fight Dawson what do you all think ?

Kessler - already beat his ass clearly enuf that a rematch ain't necessary
Hopkins - won't rematch him, and won't be much demand for it cuz it was dull
AA - won't happen cuz he ain't gonna go to 175 and Joe won't go back to 168
Froch - won't be enuf $ in this either

Calzaghe waited until B-Hop and Roy Jones Jr were old. How can you say they waited till he was old? When they did have negoitiaitons Calz wanted them to go to Europe. They told him to go The States because they were the PROVEN champions back then. I dont even believe Calzaghe wanted to fight them back then. Who did he fight and beat worth mentioning prior to 2004? NOBODY. Who did Hop and Jones fight worht mentioning prior to 2004? MANY. Calzaghe is a joke and i am suprised most cant see that.

Blah, blah, blah... The bottom line is that when "prime" Jones and Hopkins had the leverage to make a fight with Calzaghe they didn't, yet once Calzaghe had the leverage to make the fights happen they were easily made and Joe Calzaghe proved that he was the superior fighter. Deal with it!

If he is going to fight on it would have to be Dawson I think. He clearly doesn't want to give Hopkins the satisfaction of a rematch and there is no point in any other fight.

I'd say he will probably retire. I just hope that if he does he actually enjoys his retirement and doesn't come back in a few years time as a shell of himself.

dont think theres much chance of him coming back in a few years time, joes always mentioned the importance of the '0' on his record. Hope he goes out against dawson but i can see the negatives from his point of view at this stage in his career
