I never really saw Hagler get hurt in the fight with Mugabi, he took some brutal shots to the body but I don't recall him getting hurt, the Mugabi fight is an underrated fight, great fight, they were both not really the same after that.

The timing wasn't really right for Hearns to fight Mugabi, Mugabi's chin wasn't great after the Hagler fight either, Hearns would have probably knocked him out.

A lot of Leonard's shots didn't have much power behind them, Leonard didn't set his feet too much and when he did he didn't hurt Hagler at all, it was a close fight though, I had him winning.

I agree about the 2nd Hearns fight, Hearns should have won, especially with the 2 knockdowns.

Mike McCallum never got his shot to be loved by the American public.

...he was hurt, but he's not a fighter that goes backwards so all you have on him is his body language...when he starts "studdering", he's been hurt...and he didn't loose vs SRL, it was a gift to SRL for being the original "Golden Boy"...watch the fight with the sound off and you will see it differently...the comentators were so "pro" SRL, that it makes you think he won, but with out them saying how good SRL was doing, you see he didn't win the fight...just my opinion...I'm just thankful that he lost the SRL fight because he got out before he got hurt bad enough to quit...the last thing I think anyone would want is for Haglar to go out like SRL or DLH...I'd slit my wrists and jump in the ocean...

Hagler and hurt don't belong in the same sentence....

Hager did have a great chin, but his Southpaw stance and his ability to keep his chin down helped him a lot too. Hagler had head clashes with more than one his opponents because he held his head down so much.
