Truth is, we really don't know how great Tyson was; he burnt out from the pressure and life-style and threw it away after Spinks.

There was this guy called Muhammad Ali, he was pretty decent in his day. You may not have seen him fight, other wise you would have not made this thread.

Ali admitted Tyson would knock him out.

Tyson won twelve Heavyweight World title fights in his career, which is rather impressive. In the mid-eighties he completely cleaned up the Heavyweight division and successfully defended his the world heavyweight title nine times, beating the likes of Larry Holmes, Frank Bruno, Michael Spinks and Trevor Berbick along the way. Sadly, after the eighties he got ridiculously complacent and stopped training hard and then he went to jail for many years.

What I find really impressive about Iron Mike is that he is only 5'10 and that is hardly huge when it comes to the Heavyweight division.

Apparently he used to watch Rocky Marciano videos incessantly to get a better idea how to fight against huge guys who were 6'2 or 6'3 etc.

                    Sorry, I shouldn't have.

He was old when Tyson fought him.

Almost as old as Calzaghe is right now.
