I don't think Mannys power is dangerous for the lightweights let alone the Welterweights. I mean we saw Marquez eat flush shots from Manny and it didn't faze him. In both fights. After the initial knock downs Marquez took those shots well.
Now it took Manny 9 rounds of flush shots to stop David Diaz, 9...rounds. Any full fledged lightweight would have put the hammer to Diaz and got him out alot sooner if they had David's body just sittin infront them to be hit.
Oscar was just brittle. lol The guy had a p4p chin, a chin stronger then Marquez' thats for sure, and he just collapsed like a old man tryin to run a marrathon. I don't think that had to with Mannys power as much as it did with Oscar just bein a depleted version of himself.
So I don't think Mannys power is all that significant. But I do think Manny can put Hatton down though, I mean in just about every fight since Luis Collazo Hatton has been gettin rocked. Hattons chin is pretty lame. I think it would probably be in Paq's best interest to head hunt against Hatton cause I really don't think Hatton's body will fail him like Oscar's did, and I don't see Hatton standing stationary all night like David Diaz, and Hatton is far more quicker then Diaz. So I won't even be surprised if Hatton either KO's Manny or decisions him ala Erik Morales.
But it's hard to gauge Paq's power, cause he hasn't fought someone who isn't a complete stiff since Marquez. You can't really get a read on it unless you break down the stiffs he's already fought. And we do know that Hatton is gonna be the freshest body Paq has had infront him since his encounters with Marquez. So I'd say Hatton's thick and durable enough, the only thing where Hatton could fail is in his chin though. His chin is butt.
