Jorge Teron, Nagy Aguilera Suffer Upset Defeats in NY

The old saying goes "there is no such thing as a safe fight in boxing." Two undefeated prospects were upset in what many saw as safe fights on promoter Bob Duffy's "Holiday Hits" card at the Roseland Ballroom in heart of Manhattan. [details]

wow, surprised at the teron loss. a md loss against a guy with a solid record is by no means the end for him, but i'm still surprised.

sounds like it was a sick fight though. any place to watch it online, or was it on broadway boxing?

Was a very good card. Look out for Tor Hamer, he's nasty. Daniel Judah looked good. So did Rosinsky. There was one real good knockout too.

I saw some of the fighters getting interviewed in the ring after the fights, with a microphone/ camera, you might wind up seeing it on Sportsnet NY or FSN, not really sure. Definitley not Broadway Boxing though...

          Jorge Teron beaten!

Aldo Valtierra scores a shocker and pounds out a clear MD over previously unbeaten Jorge "The Bronx Truth" Teron!

How the hell did Teron lose to a guy Litzau dominated That doesn't make sense. Did anyone see the fight? I figured Jorge ranked #4 by the WBO would easily outclass this guy.

The guy Teron fought had 35 fights. Guys like that know all the tricks and if you have an off night, they know how to make you look ugly and the rounds add up. His opponent was never stopped either. It could also be time for Teron to move up from 135. He is 6' after all.
didn't get to see it but I can imagine it.

That's true. Hopefully he'll bounce back from it stronger than before.
