The last fight he had before Verno phillips drew less than 1000 people so it's pretty obvious that nobody gives a ****. It was even televised on the VS channel.

I think you are just setting up this excuse in advance so you have somthing to explain your hate for Junior. Listen... Phillips is not bad. He was not a bad opponent to test Williams out for his first fight at 154 against someone who is not a bum. He is durable. He's not a name that Williams could or should point to that will really rise his stock.

The only divisons worse than 154 right now (IMO) is Cruiserweight and 140... (FYI, I don't know much about the divisions under 122)... maybe 126, depending on how long the fighters who are at 122 don't move up and if the people who just moved up stay away.

Honestly, point to the best at 154 please. Forrest? He's okay, not the same since his shoulder thing. Spinks? Very good fighter, but not great.

Really, 154 is pretty desolate. Martinez looks to be the life of the party at this moment.
