  • Lamon Brewster: Homecoming For a Longtime Warrior

By Jake Donovan - There’s no place like home for the holidays, or for the next step of your comeback tour.

Former heavyweight titlist “Relentless” Lamon Brewster enjoys the best of both worlds this weekend, as he will be in his Indianapolis for Thanksgiving Thursday, as well as his Saturday night clash with fellow former titlist Bruce Seldon. [details]

brewster just needs to get his mind right, hes got the tools when hes in good shape, but doesnt belive in himself, if he ever learns to not fold his tent when the s**t hits the fan he could beat every hw out there, but time is running out for him and he better get on it if he wants to relive any of his past glory

Brewster has put together a decent fight card, except for the pot-bellied Gabe Brown and Chris Koval.

Brown was a replacement for Zuri Lawrence. That would have been a decent scrap...

I can't think of a more meaningless opponent than Seldon. It's a huge waste of time for Brewster IMO...

It's a legit heavyweight opponent, not a Top 20 guy, but a guy who KO'd an 11-1 fighter a few weeks ago and is over .500 in his comeback attempt, and is in splendid shape...

Remember there are budget restrictions too when you're running your own show without a major TV network carrying the show...

Seldon is there for the paycheck and once he feels Brewster's power he'll fold. There are many journeyman heavyweights outs there that would fill this spot and would bring more to the table..

I expect him to be KO'd in 4 or less. And in front of his friends and family in his hometown, that's probably a good thing. Lamon's fighting in early 2009 in England against, from what I'm hearing, an opponent that will be a definite step up from Seldon.
