On the undercard to Ricky Hatton-Paulie Malignaggi at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, a pair of young prospects under the Golden Boy Promotions banner picked up wins. Welterweight Danny Garcia (9-0, 7 KOs) won a six round decision over Adan Hernandez (14-6, 5 KOs). Garcia put him down in the second round, but couldn't put him away.
