Freddie Roach, Bob Arum Talk De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao

Bob Arum: We’re getting closer and closer to the fight. Freddie Roach, who I regard as the best trainer in boxing today, is working hard with Manny. He’s going to have Manny in tip-top shape. I don’t know how much better Manny can be than what he is now.

But just amazing and we’re going to shock the world on December 6 because with Freddie’s guidance Manny is going to not only defeat Oscar but knock Oscar out. So it’s a pleasure me to turn this over to Freddie Roach.

i don't think valero helps oscar that much. the only thing that valero can offer to oscar in preparing for pacman is his being a lefty and nothing more. valero telegraphs his punches...

the best sparring partner who can help oscar in his fight with pacman is a boxer who is fast and has quick hands, has lateral movement... can run

that description belongs to ivan calderon...

ivan calderon... the boy is fast and quick... oscar needs him... badly.

I assume it helped Morales in the first Pacquiao fight. Valero is southpaw and throws a ton of punches with power like Manny, the only difference is the speed, but Oscar probably has a different sparring partner for that.

Oscar states Nacho is the best trainer he has been with, haha. Does he say this about every trainer hes currently with?
