If Valuev beats up on an old holyfield, people will talk about how terrible and sleazy the sport is, that the fight shouldn't have happened, that boxing should have more integrity.
If Holyfield pulls of a miracle and wins, one of the biggest upsets ever, then things won't be any better. People won't be talking about how great a story it is, they'll say it illustrates how pathetic the heavyweight division is. They'll say it's disgraceful that Holyfield could grab a belt when he is this advanced in age and completely shot.
THIS IS THE REALLY SAD PART: there are a million cases right now of unfair media bias against boxing, and I'm always the first do defend boxing. Either of those criticisms however, will be making a great point, and I for one, will have no defense.
