I thought this Jones fight would do nothing for Joe's resume..now all of a sudden its an amazing addition and he has beat a top quality contender.

carefully planned and selected record is all

Of course I'd lean towards Roy. But would he easily kick Joe's ass? I dont believe that at all.

Yeah, I can see why people dislike Calzaghe. What can I say? The guy was born in the same hospital as me and out of the 5-6 fighters I liked when I first started watching boxing, he is the only one still around.

But...I can see why he gets criticism.

Calzaghe is nowhere near the legend status of RJJ. And the win tonight doesn't mean jack **** because he didn't fight the real RJJ, the way boxing fans remember him.

It would have been a tough fight no matter when it was, but I would favor Jones.

Like Ali, it's easier to hit a fighter when he is up against the ropes and has shot legs.

Roy back in the day would have been moving around and unloading shots...of course the pot-shot would be used a lot as well.

Let him have his match with RJJ that absolutely noone seems to have interest in.
Pavlik the guy that got TOTALLY schooled by the guy Calzaghe beat????

Okay so Calzaghe took good shots tonight. Risk taker? He stood infront of Roy Jones with his hands down goading him. He did everything you just discredited him for yet you still hate?

You are the cancer that is killing this sport. You are a *****-ass hater who does everything he can to discredit certain fighters just because you dont like them. Please STFU with your idiotic comments in the future kthnxbye.

To the people who honestly think Roy, in his prime would have lost to Joe. Have you seen any of Jones fights in his prime? Like another poster said. The rest of the fight would have been a duplicate of the first round.

What a fight, can't you losers just revel in the fight for a few hours before starting this ****?

Calzaghe was amazing tonight, what a ****ing chin he has.
