I watched that fight and although Chavez Jr won handily he still didn't show me that he can deal with a top notch fighter. Vanda is hardly anyone who will ever get into the top ten but yet despite the lopsided scores he made it a competive fight and was never in trouble. If Chavez Jr had koed him then I would have been impressed. It's time for Jr. to step up and start fighting some class fighters. At 38-0-1 I think they have nursed him along long enough.

He's at least salvaged his career. We'll have to see what he can do with the short time he has left before a likely ill-fated title match.

Regardless of the opposition, a 38-0-1 record is an impressive feat for a fighter that's been pro only 5 years. And I would agree that he should start stepping up the class of oppositio two fold..

He's improved on his defense and this second time around was significantly better than the first, now if only he can repeat that performance against a top ten fighter in his division. Six years into his career and with the record he has, a step up in competition and decisive victories would make his fights worth paying for.
