Andre Berto Not Concerned About Future Opponents

WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto has heard rumors of a Shane Mosley-Antonio Margarito bout. He has heard discussions of Paul Williams being the most feared boxer in the division. And he has listened to talk that Miguel Cotto is poised to come back better than ever. [details]

I know that it's part of the business to hype yourself up, but if your biggest win comes against someone who was dominated by a 35 year old part time boxer...you're really just blowing hot air.

Everything Berto is doing is making sense. When you consider his age & the ammount of fights he has had he is moving along at a great pace. I tell you this Berto has fought better competition than Chavez Jr.

It's kind of dumb to say that all the top fighters in the division dont phase Berto, or "don't even make him bat an eye." It's easy to not be worried about them when your not getting in the ring with any of them.

Berto is good enough for the back half of the WW top 10. The top guys would own him tho.

I like Berto but I think why he isn't doing anything is that he's reached his ceiling. Berto is a good boxer but he can't get any higher than what he is now. Sure he can beat a top 10-20 guy like Collazo but he would lose to every top 5 guy at 147. Margarito, Mosley, Williams, Cotto, and Clottey all would beat him. He is better off going down to 140 and dominating their because at welter he will never be the top guy. I hope he proves me wrong but I have my doubts.

Its gonna be a lot of fun to see what happens when he eventually gets in the the big boys of the division. I could see him in several exciting fights.
