We needed a UFC competitor with a TV deal, but shady promoters, underhanded business tactics, and poor handling of talent doomed EliteXC.
Maybe 'Petruzellied' will catch on as a phrase when a fledgling company has finally crossed the line in the future...

yeah that really did XC in, it's kidna too bad as they did have some talented fighters on there
it's just how the events were ran/promoted and what you said which did them in.
(I personally found the actual events to be good, despite the fact that it reminded me of Pro wrestling too much ie the Noons/Diaz post fight rumble for example.)
and it didn't help that there biggest star was a former street fighter most known for being on youtube.
and what does this all mean for Slice? do you see a promotion picking him up?
because no way the UFC or Affliction will.

white must have pissed his pants with happiness . . . its too bad, the fight i saw on xc weren't too bad. its odd that the 'fastest growing sport in the world' with all its millions and millions fans cannot keep these mma companies afloat.
