Vitali Klitschko - The Real Number One Heavyweight?

Two years ago—or about halfway between his last two fights—Vitali Klitschko had a short-lived political career. He fell short in his bids for mayor of Kiev and Ukranian parliament, but in the spirit of the current U.S. presidential election, let’s do some fact checking on a recent Klitschko speech. [details]

A female European actress wrote in her autobiography that when she was a child (about 1930), they used urine on all kinds of injuries; swellings, scratches and more. It is probably an old household remedy that have survived through the centuries. Probably like 'placebo' - if you believe in it, it works.

I'm confused. I thought I was reading an article about the number one heavy weight, but I've come away feeling like I've just read a copy of Huggies Nappies monthly.

I read the article because I thought I would see something about Vitaly's place amongst current heavies but was ripped off instead. Dear author, get a friggin life. Are you a fan of boxing or a whore journalist?

Dear Boxing Scene, why don't you just go all the way and bring in Johnny Benz?

The thought of baby piss on my hands (or his) doesn't bother me...I've changed enough diapers in my time that I wouldn't even notice, but I really don't see the purpose of it; the salt and urea maybe help toughen the skin a little, but I don't think there is any magic "anti-swelling" chemical in it. You can use it for tanning hides, to help prevent surface infection, and if you're dying of thirst you can, for awhile at least, drink your own piss....but for an educated man to wrap his fists in soiled diapers, well, it makes me wonder where he got his "education".

The writer of the article is probably right....that entire region is probably 30 years behind the western world in medicine, science, technology. Remember, up until fairly recently, in geographic terms, they were very isolated, and it will be decades before they catch up, and then only if ***** doesn't create another communist regime and start the cold war all over again (makes me wish I'd never left the military).
