I got an Army-Marines UFC match tomorrow

Hey guys I'm just wonderin what my game plan should be against this Marine UFC fighter I'm fightin tomorrow. He's bigger than me(got about 12 pounds or more on me) but he's shorter and he got shorter arms. I weigh about 145 right now I'm 6'1", he is 5'10 and 160~. I have no clue wut to do in UFC, I was wonder if I could just stay on the outside and gettin him wit my up-jab and stay outta his reach. Cuz I hear they can elbow and knee you and stuff. Any help will do cuz i'm lost.

Sprawl like your life depended on it. Short guys are going to take it to the ground instantly. Especially if their reach is short. If he gets you down, he's going to go for side control. Again, height disadvantage. You got to pull guard and keep him in guard. That means wrapping your legs around his hips and squeeze. You can control him this way and he can't get the mount. He's going to rain down on your ribs to take away air. You pay him back by inching your legs up to his midsection and squeeze hard. Just lock your ankles and squeeze. If your lanky enough, get one foot under the back of the knee of your other leg, bring the leg close, locking the knee in and have it pushing forward from the front. That's called a body lock. While he's hammer the crap out of you, you're taking life away from him. Second round, he'll be more tired. Wash rinse, repeat until you can take him out or you last the match.

Panicing loses air and power. If you don't know, look for an open spot and hit it!!

alright thx alot Burnell, I'll try to box him for a round and use my footspeed to stay away from him and one it gets to the ground I'll try the strategy you told me.

Don't try to box him. That's what he'll want. He doesn't target you, he'll want your legs. If he has a natural shoot your dead meat. Sprawl Sprawl Sprawl. And try to get a dominate position.
