In less than three-weeks, WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik will rise to the catch-weight of 170-pounds to challenge Bernard Hopkins. The October 18th bout is a battle of the new guard vs. the old guard. Hopkins returns from an April loss to Joe Calzaghe. Some observers felt Hopkins did enough to deserve the decision. I see what you are saying, Mel. But Pavlik cracks a lot harder then Zags. If he can hurt Hop early, he can finish. Like I said though, there is always that danger of getting caught by a big counter from Hop, if he gets too reckless.

i agree man, but it's just so hard to hit bhop clean, especially early. i do think that if kelly can work the jab well he has a better shot to do it earlier. his str8 punches, with a good jab may be tough for bhop.

This is gonna be a hard fight for me to watch. I like both fighters...I just hope it goes the full distance.
