Calzaghe lovers: If the great Joe falls where do you place him?

Its open to all you guys to respond but mainly Joe fans. Lets say Joe gets the beatdown of his life, how far does he fall on your rankings. I thinks its safe to say most of us consider Joe a very good fighter and a top 10 fighter at SMW. I assume most of the Joe lovas put him as the top SMW so if Joe bites the dust where would that put him down. Top 168 guy falls to 8-10? Also if you do feel he falls drastically doesn't that really back the fact that Joe is not the top SMW of all time. After all one fight doesnt make the fighter, or does it?

      **** Joe.

If he would have done something against these guys in their prime, then we have a different story.

But beating an old, and by beating I mean losing, to Bernard means nothing.

Although I think rankings are primarily the preserve of the ******ed who for some reason feel the need to enter into bizarre intra-fan competition so they can say "nah nah nah my fighter is better than yours in the opinion of some random people", I will answer your question.

If Joe loses to Roy he remains the #1 SMW as he would still be undefeated at that weight, since Joe v RJJ is at LHW.

I'm a hater but if he loses, and it's not highly contentious, I would say it shows he never had the ability to hang in there with the elite fighters of his generation and around his weight-class.

To lose to a shot Jones and have so much difficulty with a geriatric Hopkins...

I forgot that it's at 175, but no reason to weasel out of this. A loss to RJJ hurts his resume which was built at 168. I say we forget what the weight is.

He would probably drop to 6 - 8 on the P4P.

On my own personal ranking system I will put him as low as possible, preferably Hades.

if he loses to a 40 year old roy he should not be in the top 10. nor should roy with a win either.

i will consider him overrated,i admit that!

he needs to redeem himself a little following the hopkins fight,to lose to an old RJJ and win a close one with an old BHOP uuumhhhhhhhhh,it wont look good..
