I think that if they had fought, it would have been the toughest and punishing fight of Floyd's career. I think the fight would have gone either way. Both of them were very accurate punchers with great stamina. And while Floyd is a deceptively hard puncher Kostya still outpowers him quite a bit in punching power. However I think the thing that would really tell the fight is defense. I never thought that Kostya was at all sound defensively and depended a bit too much on his superior power and conditioning to win fights. I think because of this Floyd would win a hard fought decision.

some guys can move up others can't.

one could argue floyd is bigger that kostya he's definitely taller.

balls to fight oscar? oscar is the biggest cashcow in the business. who wouldn't fight him?
Your boy Manny Pac jumps up in class to fight bigger names and make bigger fights.

You don't seem to have a poblem with him.

Floyd is NOT bigger than Zoo...MOST of Floyd's 39 fights were at 130 or 135.

      Zoo started at 140

      Mayweather started at 130

Zoo is the bigger man...not taller...but bigger.

Boxing has WEIGHT catagories NOT height and reach catagories.

THINK before you type lil hater.

You can't slam Floyd's tactics when Zoo was fighting featherweights(and getting busted up)like Leija and lightweights like Gonzales.

Gatti had the titles and many thought Floyd didn't have the pop to keep Gatti off him.

At least Floyd had the balls to challenge bigger guys and to avenge what many thought was a loss to Castillo.

Zoo just accepted his ass-whipping from Vince and moved on like a *****.

Floyd did call Zoo out after winning the elimination bout with Brusseles,Zoo..like Cotto...never found the guts to even say Floyd's name.

Mayweather took more risks than 100 Tszyu's..
Gatti wasnt the champion. Tsyzu was. Gatti had a belt which Floyd went for. Floyd chased the WBC Belt and the money with Gatti then left the division.

Im sorry but Tszyu's legacy at 140 pisses on Floyds

both also have good chins and doubtful that floyd could take them out.

shane has good foot and hand speed that can match floyd.

oscar has the obvious height and reach advantages.

kostya on the other hand has his great power and great timing. kostya has problems with guys who crowd him. floyd speed might be an issue but kostya knows how to time slick , fast fighters.
          good points
but floyd is one of the smartest fighters of all time.. he would outbox them.. his defense and speed would be too much for them i think and i would give floyd the edge over them.. they would obviously have a chance there would be a possibility of them beating floyd, but 9 times out of 10 i would give it to floyd

prime zoo would be the worst match up of mayweathers life below welterweight. zoo destroyed slick fighters with his vicious right hand. to bad mayweather was to much of a coward to fight this man just like he has been afraid his whole career to face all the top challengers.

This is a bad style matchup for Zoo, whose best weapon is a LONG straight right hand.

How many times did you see a punch like that land on Floyd?

                ...

On top of that with the shoulder roll defense creates more imbalance than blocking or slipping do in someone who throws a committed right hand at you.

Finally Floyd is the better inside fighter of the two.

Zoo has almost no chanche in this one. Great fighter, but wrong style.

And I don't even know if someone already mentioned Zoo hooking off the break. Great punch yes, but the way Floyd stands in a clinch (very slanted) doesnt leave much room for that.

People should look at the way fighters fight and stop checking ****ing boxrec. You want someone who can beat Floyd, choose the right style and give a good reason.

Don't pick Zoo or Arguello because they are greats, just look at their styles and ask yourselves how they are going to deal with Mayweather with what they have... give yourself a realistic answer and move on to someone who has tools better suited to that, like Pryor or Saddler.

And wtf does how they both did against Judah have anything to do with how they would fight each other?
