Cristian Mijares Retains in Three Over Chatchai Sasakul

Arguably the best fighter in a sensational 115 lb. division, and regarded by many as one of the sports best pound for pound in general, 26-year old WBC/WBA titlist Cristian Mijares (36-3-2, 15 KO) easily retained his belts on Saturday night at the Monterrey in Nuevo León, Mexico, stopping 38-year old former World Flyweight champion Chatchai Sasakul (64-4, 39 KO) of Thailand in three rounds. he praised monterrey(the city he fought in selling a 17000 arena)

he said he is not leaving the division because he can still make weight

he said he is in negotiations with darchinyan

and then he said he was willing to fight montiel because he wasnt scared like some people have said....

not really, mijares would probably school him all night either he survives or gets caught by a fast left hook.......montiel sucks butt except for his explosive power IMO....he is kinda like abraham......**** but with power....

I dont get how Sasakul could count as a good win under Mijares's resume. Obviously past prime. He was blown out by Pac in his prime nearly 8 yrs ago and is criticized as a bum Pac fought just 4 easy hardware.
