Let me state, without any "gray areas", once and for all, that Nate Campbell has never, and will never use EPO, ESP, UFO's, or any other substance, drug, ointment, beverage, or anything whatsoever to unfairly enhance his performance in any fight throughout his career.
The allegations first levied by Willie Savannah, and now being furthered by Jose Nunez, are simply to discredit Nate, and his accomplishments. As for Savannah, he accused Nate of this to deflect criticism of his fighter having no Plan B, Plan C, or Plan D in his fight with Nate.
Since he can't offer a valid explanation as to why his fighter can only plod forward winging pitty-pat shots, it's much easier to blame the victor with the steriod allegations. As for Nunez, who knows? Perhaps he is simply laying out a built in excuse for when his fighter gets the living **** beat out of him in 3 weeks. I really don't know, and don't care, what Nunez' motives are.
If he thinks this stuff distracts Nate, then he obviously doesn't really know anything at all about Nate Campbell. Nate feeds off this stuff, and all it does is make him want to be a bit more sadistic in the ring. As Nate's co-promoter however, I do get annoyed with allegations being published against my fighter with no evidence whatsoever to back it up.
So therefore, I offer the following challenge to Nunez: I am willing to bet $1,000,000.00 (one million dollars) and a public apology that Nate will test clean for any history of any performance enhancing drugs. They can do hair, blood, skin cells, whatever the hell they want.
My only stipulation is that simultaneous duplicate tests be conducted by two reputable firms such as LabCorp and Quest, to insure the integrity of the results. I make this stipulation because as we all well know, for the right price I'm sure I could get a private doctor somewhere to swear on a Bible that Guzman is four months pregnant, but obviously that doesn't make it so.
With that being said, I'm sure that if Nunez truly believes these allegations, then Sycuan should have no problem backing him on the money for this wager, and the funds could be held in a third-party escrow until after the test is completed.
So the challenge is out there. No more bull****ting around. Time to put up or shut up.
