Pac has done more than enough to make his losses completely insignificant.
If Calzaghe were to lose 1 fight he would be a complete "bum" just like what happened to Hatton after he move up in weight to challenge the then P4P#1 fighter Floyd. Cotto fell like Hatton to a degree after his loss to Tony, but no way near as far as Hatton did.
I agree with you about being undefeated being overrated but in this era (especially on message boards) it seems being undefeated is everything and it's why so many fighter take less risks than they use to. You lose one fight and you're an "exposed, overrated bum."

Pavlik has faced tougher opposition than Calzaghe...and it seems like Enzo, Joe's father, is 'helping' him duck Pavlik....When they interview Enzo he acts like Pavlik is a pro who's 10-0 or 15-0 against cab drivers, and rejects the idea like Pavlik is a total amateur, not recognizing the man's accomplishments due to fear of his son being placed in the same ring with that animal.

You doubt this? Go and watch what he did against Mikkel Kessler and then point me to the recent performance by your boxer that tops it for out and out boxing skill. I don't believe you will be able to.
Floyd vs Gatti, Gatti's a C class fighter
Cotto vs Mosley, cos like joe v kessler, it was a hard fights for a few rounds untill Cotto took over, and Mosley will be in HOF before Joe C will

First of all, Calzaghe won, Pacquiao lost. So that makes you comparison flawed and a bit **** to start with. But anyway, let's take a closer look:
Going into the fight with Pacquiao, Morales was rated outside of the top 5 p4p
Going into the fight with Calzaghe, Hopkins was rated in the top 5 p4p
Going into the fight with Pacquiao, Morales was coming off of a loss
Going into the fight with Calzaghe, Hopkins had just beaten two top 10 p4p guys
You see what I did there? I looked at facts about who won each fight, about how highly their opposition was ranked, and about how well they had done in previous fights, rather than just picking one factor that benefited my argument and ignoring the stuff that actually matters.

No, it doesn't work like that. The fact that you think Mosley is better doesn't prove that you are right about something else.

Oh sorry, I didn't mean to be obnoxious. I'll put my serious hat on.
Look, try and rise above being a fan of Pavlik/ American boxers for a moment, OK? Calzaghe is a 10 year champion in the SMW division. He fought and beat lots of good fighters during that time. He then unified the division with wins over young prime champs. Then he won the Ring LHW title to become linear titlist in two divisions. He is undefeated as a pro.
Jermain Taylor cannot compare with this record. Statistically it is one of the best in boxing history. Saying that Pavlik has faced better opponents than Joe, is outright ludicrous. No-one who he has faced has even been remotely in Joe Calzaghe's class.
If you are able to accept this, whilst still remaining a Pavlik fan, then you will be a true fan of boxing, but based on your statements right now, you aren't, you're a fanboy. Question is: what do you want to be?
