Someone explain to me what happan? Floyd called out Winky and SSM years ago

I heard something about Floyd calling Winky out, Winky then called his bluff, then Floyd backed down. Dont know how true that is.

As far as the SSM thing goes, they are both guilty of that fight not happening.

Actually, SSM backed out of a Floyd fight TWICE. The first time (1999-ish) was when he was leaving 135. It made perfect sense because Shane was gonna get a DLH fight at 147, and SSM moved up. The second time, Shane was an idiot. He had just KO'd Vargas and Floyd was kinda desperate for a fight. Shane had no real excuse for that ("uhhh, my tooth").

I remember HBO talking about it... they didn't mention the weight thing, but they did say that Winky wasn't given a realistic offer, and that Floyd's call out was probably just naming off the big names, not ever meant to be anything serious.

yeah hes shot....hed still beat 99% of fighters.....(in a fair and well judged fight) anyone but calslappy....roy jones would be an easy fight for the winkster...he shouldve taken that...easier than pavlik, kessler, hopkins...
