Evander Holyfield Getting His Finances in Order

In a follow-up to a story posted several weeks back, former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield is getting his finances in order. Holyfield was under the gun with a variety of lawsuits pertaining to money and some reports had him listed as being on the verge of bankruptcy. He was sued by the mother of his 10-year-old son for failure to pay child support, he was also sued by a Utah consulting company for failing to repay a $550,000 loan. To make matters worse, his house was put on the auction block by Washington Mutual Bank because he defaulted on a $10 million loan. [details]

This whole mess is just going to give him an excuse to keep fighting. Gah. Well, I at least he picks more interesting fighters this time. If I'm going to have to see more Holyfield, get him in there with say Joe Mesi. At least one of them would have to go away with a loss in that fight.

I agree. Holyfield had the heart and guts of Gatti, and all the skills to back it up. Way better champ than Lewis.

dude would fight until the end when he should be in the hospital from one hell of a beating.... you couldn't make him stop.... I've never seen any HEAVYWEIGHT with his heart. TYSON is my all time favorite but NO ONE has/had the heart of Holyfield..... dude was a beast....

Better than Lewis any day of the week? Interesting, seeing as though he lost to him on two separate days.

Lewis was garbage.... anyway this is about Holyfield not lewis, (even though i'm the one that brought it up). Holyfield was a great and had more heart than anybody....

Lewis was garbage? Wow, either you let bias serious ruin objective assessment of boxers. Or you don't know anything about boxing. Either way, Lennox Lewis was not garbage, lol.
