Donovan George Jailed For Six-Months, Career Halted

In a follow-up to a story first reported last August, rising super middleweight prospect Donovan George (15-0-1, 13KOs) was slammed with multiple felony sexual assault charges and was facing 6 to 30 years in prison if convicted. It was recently reported by the Chicago Sun Times that George pled guilty, only to the charge of aggravated battery, and began serving a six-month sentence on April 7. I heard he was doing golden gloves but I didnt know how far he was getting.

According to published reportes, he was facing eight counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, 15 counts of criminal sexual assault and four counts of sexual relations with a family member. These were claims that were alleged to have taken place between 1996 and 1998 when George was between 11 and 13-years-old. The alleged victim in question was between 5 and 8-years-old.

He's very lucky to only get 6 months.
