IBF rules don't require him to weigh in before the official weigh-in, so whats the big deal?
And as for booking his own hotel rooms, who cares? It's on his own dime. He has no obligation to stay in the hotel the other promoter put him in. As long as he's paying for it, which he is, he can stay wherever the hell he feels like staying.Comment

How is it disrespect? He's there to fight. Come tomorrow's mandatory weigh-in, he'll step on a scale and everyone can then know how much he weighs. WTF does he need to volunatarily weigh in two days before a fight?
The hotel thing is a smart move on his part, and not an uncommon move for fighters travelling overseas.
I don't know if Raheem agreed to any of this stuff beforehand, only to change his mind. If that's the case, I guess I can see the promoter's gripe. To me, it sounds like Raheem is putting on his game face, and doesn't want to be bothered with anything else. Again, not uncommon for fighters.
Others would probably be more grateful for the similar opportunity, but honestly, worse has been done throughout boxing history than skipping out on a voluntary weigh-in.Comment

Maybe there's a big reason on why Z is acting up...
We'll soon know, after the fight...Comment
