Garcia stands the best chance out of any current active fighter to end his career with 100 wins. Thats his best chance at becoming a historical footnote.

Troy Browning was the guys name right?
Yeah I remember that fight, I had just never heard of Garcia before, that was one of the oddest fights I've ever seen, that clearly looked fixed.

Is it just or was the ref holding his laughter after the KO? it could be the quality of the video but he looks like he's about to crack up like a "WTF???" laugh

I want to calculate the amount of work that ref did, find out what he was paid, and convert it into an hourly wage.

youd have to see the fight and you would understand.

he is saying all the right things because he knows throwing a fight is illegal and it takes a great excuse to justify what he did.

this is no exaggeration when i say that he was sticking his face out with his hands down and repeatedly letting troy browning hit him. He would let himself get hit without retaliation 15-20 times every round and giving them away left and right. He never even tried to punch so its not like he exhausted himself. He could have knocked the guy out at any point and he chose not to.

If you dont see why he threw the fight just consider that the guy was turned pro at 15 and forced to fight 10 times a year since, whenever and whereever his promotors sent him. He was probably getting a raw deal with his promotors keeping money from his first big TV bout and just said "**** This"

So he got away with it? Damn, thats a big time "**** the system" move right there.

I remember his story on espn being an old boxer and a worker, Rodriguez beat him convincingly.

                    keep an eye on him!

At first i thought i never heard of him but isn't his real name "Julio Cesar Garcia?"

I belive it is. And i remember hearing him lose and i was very surprised and now i know he in fact threw the fight.

He was promoted by Roberto Durans Promotional Company, don't know what happened with them that he'd throw the fight or if he's still with Durans company.

Garcia knocked him out with the first punch he threw, a counter left hook 10 seconds into the fight. It was pretty spectacular.

That being said, I will never support Garcia, He threw a fight last year and i will never forget it.
I find it hard to believe that Garcia couldn't beat Browning when he was able to ice Medina with one punch.
