  • Anyone else notice how Mayweather isn't really missed?

As soon as Mayweather left, virtually everyone was ready to anoint Pacquiao as the best P4P fighter and less than a month later, Mayweather really isn't news anymore.

Except that people keep posting about him constantly?

Except for the fact that half the new threads on the boxing board continue to be about him. But other than that....

And the fact that very few people bought the fight last night.

The show must go on....when De La Hoya and Mayweather and these "high society" showmen exit the scene, maybe they'll be less casual fans, but at least you'll have true fighters with the "Warrior Ethos" stepping in the ring. But of course with Golden Boy Promotions monopolizing the sport, it's business as usual.

Which is exactly why he retired.

Boxing has a history of spitting out tired and defeated champions without mercy.

Except they are all from the same 5-6 Mayweather fans. I'm talking about current boxing, people who live in the now and look towards the future for the well-being and sustainment of the sport.

So you just made a thread about Floyd so your adding to this and your not his fan. People who do not like Floyd post about him more then people who like him to my eyes anways.

So be it that he retired, it is his choice i miss him but boxing and life moves on nothing to talk about so why make this thread?

Try to watch a boxing broadcast and NOT have mayweather's name brought up...
