Steward: "Klitschko Will Stop Thompson in Six-Rounds"

Emanuel Steward, trainer of IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, has predicted a knockout win inside of six-rounds when his fighter takes on WBO mandatory challenger Tony Thompson on July 12 at the Color Line Arena in Germany. He doesn't feel that Thompson has enough fire power to overcome the Klitschko charge. [details]

I hope he's not jinxing Wladimir. I remember when he's made those predictions (like "Taylor will KO Pavlik in the first two rounds") they're usually wrong.

I think Klitschko will be more aggressive in this fight and has a good chance at an early stoppage.

            Nah, really?!
I think Thompson is good, I don't expect him to win but I wouldn't be shocked if he stopped Klitschko.

Given that Thompson is an awkward southpaw, I see a boring fight going the distance, with Wlad winning a comfortable decision.

                  KO in 6?

I would be seriously shocked if Thompson wins in any fashion. Klitschko will NEVER be outboxed by another heavyweight. NEVER. Just not possible. Tony seems to be a likable guy, but I truly believe that he is just in a different league that Wlad. He will get outclassed and then stopped. I think it will happen in 5 or less, but you never know. Styles make fights. On another note, Steward also predicted that Wlad would avenge his loss to Brewster in 7 . Go see Boxrec on that one to see if he was right or wrong. If he wants the fight over with in 6, Wlad will likely get it done. The only reason it did'nt happen in the Sultan fight is because the guy is tricky and it's hard to land a shot on a guy who is so reluctant to trade punches like he was.
