Jermain Taylor Still Focused on Jeff Lacy For November

Former middleweight champ Jermain Taylor (27-2, 17KOs) is still focused on facing his former Olympic teammate Jeff Lacy (23-1, 17KOs). Steve Kim of MaxBoxing/BoxingScene.com was informed that Taylor's return is still on schedule to land in November on HBO. Taylor would like for Lacy to be on the opposite side of the ring. WBC/WBA super flyweight champ Cristian Mijares is a possibility to open up the show. [details]

Id much rather see Taylor/Mayorga than Mayorga/Mosley.....Mosley is gonna kill Mayorga where Taylor has been recently KO'd and may be a little leery of Mayorga's attacking style which i think would make for a great fight.

Lacy should fight Vera as a tuneup in August, winner takes on Taylor in November. Or Taylor should scrap that and try to get Kessler for November. What do you folks think?

You gotta be kidding me. You want Taylor to keep fighting smaller guys? Forget the styles, he needs to be in there with people in his own weight class. You know Mayorga is no super middleweight.

Whatever happens Jermaine Taylor will retire a 1st Ballot HOFer he's showing more then class by fighting top 10 fighter after fighter. This Lacy fight can really define his legacy and future in boxing i hope he KOs Lacy in 7 otherwise a loss could derail his entire career! (3 losses in a row means shot in many peoples eyes)

im pretty sure he means that....he think Mayorga's gonna beat Mosley, which makes him even crazier!!!!.....And as for the weight class comment, Mayorga is more of a threat to Taylor than Lacy!

And if it was meant for me than the answer is no....I dont think Mayorga can beat Taylor but the fight would be more interesting and exciting and a Taylor/Lacy clash. And it would also make more sense than a Mosley/Mayorga clash. I mean look what Oscar did to Mayorga, if you think Shane won't do the same thing you're nuts.

I can't see either mayorga or lacey beating taylor..taylor looked alot better 2nd time round against pavlik and at least lost but looked good. i think lacey lost alot of confidence against calzaghe and won't stand a chance against taylor if he hasn't improve his actual boxing skills e.g his jab and movement. mayorgai dont think would stand a chance against taylor..unless he somehow caught him cold..mayorga is strong but to see him try and go more than six against taylor would b ridiculous..but i agree it would be more interesting than lacey/taylor jus based on mayorga's fighting style....and as far as mosley..i jus think he has no idea who 2 fight next
