RJ is a legend...everybody knows who he is.

So then you've obviously never had a problem with Floyd fighting De La Hoya over Cotto or any of the top tier prime WW's then b/c it's basically the same thing!!!!

Pavlik is a big puncher who is also in his prime. Roy is not. This matchup would've been interesting to see 7-8yrs ago. Not now.
+1 Joe made the wrong decision, now fight fans like us will not credit him unless he beats Roy Jones badly because if Jones goes the distance we all know Pavlik would beat Joe Calzaghe.

All the brits said he always fights the best but Jones isnt put in a category with the best anymore.

In the UK Pavlik is still rather unknown amongst general sports fans. Roy Jones is a ****ing legend.

This fight will be big. JC made the right choice.
He made the right move for his bank account, not his legacy. Joe Calzaghe is a phag loved only by Brits.

If he takes it, that's why. He can make more money. But right now, Pavlik is the bigger challenge. Jones is more recognizable, but to the boxing purists, Pavlik will do more for his legacy.

I can't go through every single UK paper so I'll just pick the most popular and bestselling one, which has a column written by Gary Lockett's promoter. In his column he discussed Pavlik's qualities and the upcoming fight. The paper also carried an article about Nigel Benn's views on the match-up, talking about how he wished Lockett well and comparing it to his fight with DeWitt.

As for it not being on TV, how about the TV channel that broadcast it live?
