ive heard that much. but how much of an impact would that make? would be lesser than a bout with Abraham or Wright? or do you think he should take on Rubio because it may be a fight he could look better in setting up a fight with any of the afore mentioned?

As long as Pavlik is fighting every 3 months I cant complain. Hopefully it's Abraham or Winky in the fall.

          Winky
          Calzaghe
Forrest if he wins to night

Well he would fight rubio next according to the rumours/media, How ironic would that be? When J.Taylor was the champion he fought Ouma and spinks who were 154 fighters really but that was after two tough fights with B-hop and Winky wright, And arum was critising Lou dibella at the time but here we are now with arum promoting the champion and he is doing exactly the samething.

i ncant believe people are actually defending pavlik lockett and rubio in back to back fights......after all the **** jermain got for fighting ouma(who owned rubio and jantuah.....the man who ko'ed rubio with one punch) and the best 154lb in spinks......

and jermian got criticised for not KO'ing Ouma......but it's clear he KO'ed Ouma's career......

before we get nostalgic about how "great" spinks was at 154, let's remember what happened in his last fight. He's obviously on the way down, and was when Taylor and him fought. That said, I think if Kelly does fight Rubio next, he better have a HUGE name to follow it. If it's not Winky, Calzaghe, or Kessler, or at the least Abraham, Pavlik's introduction to the American public will have been a miserably failed attempt. I don't blame him though, I blame Arum. If Arum continues to **** around, Kelly should bounce from Top Rank immediately.

Well I don't like Pavlik taking any lower risk fights, but he does deserve to pad his bank account a bit before stepping up again as he will not be around for a long time. I would like to see him fight the winner of Abraham vs Miranda if I had my way. I do not see JoeC fighting him right away as Jones is more lucrative. Winky should go get a fight to get his name in the media again to perhaps set up an early 2009 fight.

By the time 2009 roles around, he may get to fight Joe or Mikkel
