Ricky Hatton: "Against Lazcano, I'll Face My Demons"

Former champion Ricky Hatton admits that he will have to face his demons when stepping in the ring with Juan Lazcano on Saturday before 55,000 fans in Manchester. Hatton is coming off his first career loss, a tenth-round knockout at the hands of Floyd Mayweather Jr. (last December in Las Vegas). [details]

Laczano is a risky opponent - he could he have chosen someone who's less of a puncher, like DLH's choice of Steve Forbes.

But I believe he'll return to his winning ways.

          His demons?

Does that mean he's gonna' cast a spell on Lazcano and turn him into a giant pie that he'll have to have the willpower to not eat? What a fatty.

Risk opponent? How? Sorry but Luzcano is over the hill and was at best a contender at lightweight, So this is a safe fight has Hatton could get.

Lazcano is as slow as a wet week and stands right in front of you , he suits Rickys style to a tee thats why they picked him and he hasnt fought for a long time , Stevie Forbes would probably beat Hatton , Rickys team would never have picked Steve Forbes for a comeback fight .

Lazcano is not shot. He will give most LWW's a good fight. Ricky will win but I don't think he will look as good as many think. It will be a test of his nerve and mental state to see how he reacts if/when he gets caught flush.

Ricky would easily beat Forbes, even though Forbes' style is wrong for Ricky his non stop pressure would see him trhough by about eight rounds IMO.

Despite all the criticism he has recieved he is still the best LWW on the planet and deserves the respect that comes with that achievement.

I would be very surprised if that was true. Forbes style is completely different from Lazcano's. If he was then it must have been in preperation for Malignaggi.

If that's the case Ricky would be looking past Lazcano which would be dangerous.

Like I said doubt that report was accurate but I have been wrong before.
