Byrd’s Wings Clipped by a Dominant Shaun George

In a card touched by thrills, shocks, and a touch of melancholy, 29-year old Shaun George (17-2-2, 8 KO) of Brooklyn, New York upset the Light Heavyweight return of 37-year old former IBF Heavyweight titlist Chris Byrd (40-5-1, 21 KO) of Flint, Michigan with a dominant ninth-round stoppage at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight was never really close. [details]

    Pls Hang Them Up!!!

Always the same thing, fighter sticks around too long.... It was great to see Byrd lose all of that weight, it was great watching him get hit like a punching bag.....I hope Byrd decides to hang up the gloves once and for all, if his parents truly care about him they too, should urge their son to stop....he has nothing to be ashamed of, he should and can walk with his pride in tack and his head held high...He is truly a class act.....One of the good guys in boxing.....

A sad sight seeing Byrd dominated by a ****ing bum. I hope he retires, he's had a great career, if not give cruiserweight a try, he clearly didn't have the legs for light heavy.

Was Shaun George a "bum" because you never heard of him or because you throw the word around a lot? If it's because you haven't heard of him, get with the program.

Yeah that was an over reaction. Still sad to see him getting destroyed by that standard of competition.

i've noticed that people have been calling fighters a bum lately..
              whats the deal??
people have a lack of respect for the people who risk their life everytime they get in the ring.. its really sadd..
hes tryin to feed his family man.. just be quiet about that ****

You guys feel sorry for Bryd?I love it any time uncle tom Chris Byrd loses. And just because a fighter gets in the ring for money doesnt mean he is risking his life any more than alot of professions.Steel Mill workers,Police Officers,Firefighters ect ect ect risk their lives too and they dont make millions of dollars like these guys do.Byrd lost to a average fighter which shows how bad he always was.Foreman fought till he was 48 and i don't remember anybody knocking him out.Everybody can't be as great as Foreman was but still...losing to fighters such as Shaun George should never happen if Chris Byrd himself was anything more than a overrated bum.

You are an idiot. The first one I have called out on this forum. Chris is a very good fighter, great guy and has a ton of heart. He is worth a hundred of you.
