    Hopkins always stays in good shape and has never been badly damaged in any fight so he's still fresh or at least as fresh as a 43 year old guy can be.

      Hopkins is a machine.

      ....Yep and I bet it even wins him a round or two in the process. Never mind the other ten or so.

          I wonder if they get it from the same guy that does Calzaghe's blood doping?

              Not out of question.
              Calzaghe might be having that little something as well.

                Bernard still has the skills and mind he just doesn't have the reflexes of a younger guy. If he did Joe would be in even more deep water.

                  Bernard is in superlative shape, no doubt, but lets get real: all the pomegranate juice in world isn't going to keep his reflexes from deteriorating or his stamina from draining.

                  Even if he does everything right in terms of conditioning, and he probably does, he will fall off that cliff someday.

                  We've already seen his stamina begin to take a big hit (which is why he throws so seldomly), and only his brilliance as boxer lets him get away with that..for now.

                  He seemed to have his reflexes with Winky. Does he still have them now? I think it can be quite surprising how fast a boxer can go from merely "post prime" to shot/done.

                  As Sugar Ray Robinson said;

                  “You always say "I'll quit when I start to slide," and then one morning you wake up and realize you've done slid.”
