  • Ivan Calderon Sweeps Dieppa, Solis Next?

It was business as usual at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ivan Calderon (31-0, 6KOs) retained his WBO junior flyweight title with a one-sided twelve round decision over Nelson Dieppa (25-5-2, 14KOs). [details]

The scores were 120-108 across the table

Damn, I can on;y imagine calderon doing what he does best. That prospective fight against solis will get on nerves of a lot members here. It's a toss up even if I see ivan running his way to victory.

That's a negative, WBO president Paco Valcarcel said Cazares is mandatory, no ifs and buts, if Calderon gets by Cazares again, I doubt Solis will take the fight, they already ducked him.

        lets see it

i'd love to see caldrone vs solis. Caldrone is the legit champ and solis is the number one contender so lets see it.

Something tells me Solis won't do good against the movement of Calderon. Solis needs to get set to punch and you can't get set with Calderon; He's always on the move.

calderon is not a great fighter he got hit alot agains panterita esquer if solis lands those shots calderon is sure to go down not too mention solis is way more faster accurate and powerful than esquer
still calderon has to survive his rematch with cazares in the first fight he was knocked out and the ref helped him get away with his slow counts

cazares got screwed by the wbo he had to reduce his weight because some ****** rule but in the rematch things will be different
and calderon still hasnt proven nothing at superflyweight he got a sd against the champ and beat up the very limited esquer and the washed up dieppa
solis is rated number 1 in the miniflyweight division making 4 impressive defenses in only a year
