  • Lorenzo Roadblocks Abraham-Miranda Rematch

After a potential May clash between Mikkel Kessler and Edison Miranda fell apart due to Kessler's withdrawal, the promoters left behind, and Showtime, tried to put together a rematch between Miranda and IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham for June 21. [details]

This is a better fight for Abraham. If he had to fight at 166, it would have just slowed him down - he doesn't need the extra weight, since he has lots of power at 160 and has no problem making 160.

Lorenzo has earned his title shot. Miranda has already had a title fight and lost (he was lucky he wasn't disqualified) and Edison also lost the eliminator against Pavlik.

This is bull****, nobody wants to fight this man, Miranda has become the second most feared man in the planet after my boy Tony Margarito. Does anyone besides David Banks have the cojones to step in the ring with thsi man???

Abraham is lucky the fight was in Germany. Or we wouldn't even be talking about him right now.

Miranda is a bad fight for anyone. for any of those guys to fight him is to give him a good chance at exposure. there's no denying his skills and that much true but Kessler shouldn't have to face Miranda directly after Joe, thats 1 hard fight to another. Abraham needs to stay his ass at Middleweight anyway, he ain't built for nothing bigger. Pascal ain't ****ing with Miranda yet, his people know this so they pro long the whole fight until they think he's ready, Miranda would clearly beat him and even though Pascal might disagree with me on that I'm sure his people don't. bottomline is that for every Boxer there's another Boxer so as long as Miranda keeps staking his claim a title shot will be inevitable..

however it doesn't mean those guys have to just jump at him whenever HE feels he's ready, they have to be ready too and at the moment Pascal ain't, Abraham can't put the weight on properly and Kessler just came off a bad loss, he needs a confidence win and Miranda seems more like a depressed loss right now. they ain't ready but Miranda will get his chance.. why doesn't Miranda holla at Allan Green? Green been wanting him ever since that loss, throw down with him and give the other flowers time to bloom, then once the time is right go knock the pollin off it's stem, simple as that. nobody is scared of him but he ain't nothing to play with and they ain't taking him lightly, I want to see him fight Kessler..

                  Politics, Politics, Politics........

I wish these silly meaningless ABC belts were abolished and there was One Champion in each division......And then we wouldn't have to have Kessler run off and try and pick up a trinkett rather than face Miranda.....We wouldn't have Abraham have to face a mandatory to hang on to his trinkett rather than face Miranda in an highly anticipated rematch after their last fight ended corruptly......

Why not Abraham/Lorenzo because its mandatory. Miranda/Sturm on the undercard, winners face off, and winner of that match gets pavlik.
