  • Danny Green Confirms Retirement From Boxing

Danny Green (25-3, 22KOs), the current WBA light heavyweight champion, confirmed the recent rumors of his retirement. There is a God. Green is the most over hyped fighter to ever come out of Australia. I will not miss him from the sport.

Something must have gotten in Green's head because he is walking away from a world title and a lot of money. If he regrets it in a year or two he's going to have to live with a lot of bitterness.

i think something else going on.
Why retire mid training for a defense of the world title and lose a payday AND the massive money he would get for the mundane rematch??

maybe he got a beatdown in sparring or just lost his nerve.

Put the title up for grabs in the Hopkins - Calzaghe fight and this would be great.
