Green, 35, told reporters that he plans to retire as soon as possible to protect his health and spend more time with his family. There is a God. Green is the most over hyped fighter to ever come out of Australia. I will not miss him from the sport.

i think something else going on.
Why retire mid training for a defense of the world title and lose a payday AND the massive money he would get for the mundane rematch??
maybe he got a beatdown in sparring or just lost his nerve.
