    Cash Rules Everything Around Mayweather

By Jake Donovan - "Cash rules everything around me, C.R.E.A.M. Get the money… dollar, dollar bill, y'all."

What has served for 15-years as a legendary track for the Wu-Tang clan has become more than a way of life for Floyd Mayweather, Jr. – it is his life.

Fighters fight; businessmen find ways to collect ends in and out of the ring. Money Mayweather has proven himself to be the latter, and with great success in recent years. Perhaps too successful, as money has become the all-consuming factor in his life. [details]

A good read indeed...although you might have used a better title. I saw it and was thinking things along the line of "I know that, why should I read this?"

            Wtf?*

Okay, now write something that the boxing world doesn't already know about Floyd.

            P.S. Well written however.*

Good article. I've stood up for Floyd a few times, but it gets harder and harder sometimes because it seems money is the only thing that matters to him. He's become greedy and will do anything to make that cash. Im beginning to wonder if he's a serious boxer anymore or just a fighter that will fight for huge paydays.

                  okay, what's the point?

Why is the author getting so much credit for telling us something we already know. (or something I do)

real quick look up the definition of Professional and tell me what it means.

yes Mayweather makes an obscene amount of money, but that's the world of pro sports for you.

why do you think A-Rod signed that $252 Mill. Contract
or LeBron James signed a $90 Mill. Nike Contract.

Chances are your favorite player didn't "sell out" by signing with the rival team, it just might be that rival team offered more $$.

Currency runs pro sports. and again why is this author getting so much props for stating the obvious?

**if you want to see real "love of the game" check out the College Hoops Tourney this month, or college sports in General.

it's a far cry from the whiny NBA players who complain about not getting enough $$$ (why do you think there was a lock out in the 1999 season?)

and even get traded in some cases.

my favorite player plays against the best. the article isnt criticizing the amount of money PBF gets, but rather the way it is starting to dictate his career. how would it look if the Celtics, who are considered to be the best team in the NBA (best record) were given a choice to play whoever they wanted for ridiculous amounts of money and they chose to play against The Heat?
