Pacquiao-Marquez II: The Post-Fight Report Card

By Cliff Rold - Watching Manny Pacquiao (46-3-2, 35 KO) do battle with Juan Manuel Marquez (48-4-1, 35 KO) is a joy to behold for anyone who loves boxing…

…but scoring the bouts between these two is about as much fun as a trip to a proctologist. The score I came up with for the rematch will leave some in agreement and others thinking I need just such a medical specialist for a head removal-octomy. Through twelve, I had Marquez winning eight rounds, same as I did the first time around, for a score of 115-112. [details]

cant wait to read Ronnie's article. it will prolly read something like,

"With the hopes and dreams of the Filipino people on his back and the spirits of the ancient Filipino warriors in his fists, Manny Pacquiao dominated and technically outboxed the aging Juan Manuel Marquez through 12 rounds. I had the fight scored 120-108 in favor for the masterful ring general, Manny Pacquiao"

if in your opinion you have marquez winning the fight... i respect that... but in the eyes of many, it was pacquiao who won... and he won... no matter what you call it, its a win... pacquiao besting the best of mexico... get ready with your thread about pacquiao's next fight... i hope another mexican... young, and strong... juan diaz??? david diaz??? name them and pacquiao will beat them all.

I had Pacquiao winning by 3 points. I knew he had to of won by at least one point because of the knockdown and he did. scores came out just like I expected.

I had the same score as this guy

I had it 8 rounds to 4, but I wasn't sure about one of the rounds and I gave it to Marquez.

Marquez won 7 rounds as clear as day.
