those intangibles alone make him a threat at lightweight. He is a wonderful talent.....no question.

He just has an average chin, and suspect defence.

Offensively he can blitz all these lightweights and make them look like ****, he is that good.

amir has done well and beat most of the fighters in front of him soundly - namely gary st clair and especially graham earl but if he thinks hes anywhere near the likes of campbell or even diaz is a joke.

he is imo ahead of them than when they were at his age but he has to ha to take the right fights at the right times and under warren i just get the feeling that he'll end up looking better than he is.

I wasnt gunna say anthing as I think Khan is a good fighter ,, but I will say if he was as good as the raps put on him and as big at the weight people say , he should have stopped St Claire who is a defensive featherweight thats long past his best , Gairy done the chasing throughout the fight wtf , I couldnt believe my eyes as I really thought Khan would blast him out ,,, people are raving about the master class he put on in that fight , believe it or not I saw weakness not because I follow Khan that close to really know him but that I have seen many of Gairys fights and his last few with Tia cab drivers were not impressive , Khan should have stopped him in my view , but we will see how he progresses ,I think Khan will be suspect when the top fighters start sticking it to him ,, time will tell , good luck to him anyway and I hope he does well .

Khan won every single round convincingly against a guy who's never been KO'd (and who was a Kostya sparring partner). Couldn't ask much more of him, it was total domination.

You missed two key factors , Gairy is really a featherweight , and a way past his prime one at that ,,,,, put it this way Katsidis runs right over St Claire in my view ,,, maybe Im being a little hard as its like ex lightweight champ Thobela going the distance with up and coming Kessler at 168 ,,, just a gut feeling that Im sus on Khan not stopping the the past it much smaller fighter , like I said Ive seen a lot of St Claire from early career to now , I really thought Khan would be way to strong and just stop him , he ran and boxed from him , I didnt like that .
