It was a thrilling slugfest for 12 rounds which ended in a rather wide decision for Ruiz. The crowd greeted the two fighters for their great effort with boos and whistles.

That is what the reports seem to indicate. I haven't seen the fight but it has been reported that the crowd was not very pleased with the fight.

So it seems like Ruiz put on another classic display of clinch-fighting.

I also read an interview where Ruiz acknowledged his boring style and has reinvented himself to be a more aggresive and more crowd pleasing fighter and I'm very interested in how he looks in this fight....

I hear ya, BG, but he wouldn't be reinventing himself. More like re-re-inventing himself. Prior to his loss to Tua, the guy was a mobile puncher. It's kinda like how Camacho responded to his fight with River.. he changed his style up completely.
