    Experts Split on Marquez-Pacquiao Rematch

A published poll of 20 boxing experts in the latest issue of Ring Magazine on the rematch between Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and WBC super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez on March 15 in Las Vegas has turned out “dead even with 10 votes for each fighter” according to Editor-in-Chief Nigel Collins. Oooooo, I do believe this will be the fight of the year

Each fighter has huge expectations on them going into this one. Will Marquez be able to stick to his plan and box or will he get into a brawl as he has been more prone to doing lately? Will Pacquiao be able to utilise his newly acquired boxing skills and right hand to negate Marquez' counter punching and blow him out? Will Marquez' age be a factor and his recent slowing down come into play? Will Pacquiaos partying have an effect on him?

So many questions to be answered, but really, when it comes down to fight night none of that matters because however it plays out I think we will witness a brilliant fight as both seem to be focused one hundred percent and both have had solid training camps.

I don't think there has been a fight that I have been more excited about in a long time, if ever! This may very well be Marquez' last 'hurrah' and hopefully he will come in looking as fresh as possible and hopefully looking younger than his age. Whilst I'm an absolute huge fan of both fighters I must admit to wanting Marquez to win this one. I think he deserves it after not getting the attention his skills have warranted over his long career whereas Pac will always get big money and lots of popularity.

I see this as probably being each fighters most important fight and whoever gets the win I'll be happy for. I think if it's as good as it should be neither will get any disrespect or a lack of opportunities after it's done anyway, win, lose or draw.

The anticipation for this one is even worse than for tonights fight between Marquez and Vasquez!!!!

People talk like Manny has never been in wars. The man is in a war in almost every fight he goes into since his career began. It's just cloaked by the fact that he comes out the winner and usually wins by devastating results. The other issue is people still keep talking about the first fight as if it's a truely accurate measuring stick to the rematch. It's completely not. Manny has become sooo much more since 4 years ago that this new Manny would make the old look like an amatuer. But I guess, some people refuse to believe the facts.

He has improved but not much.. he still throws that same old one two one two..
But Marquez on the other hand has only gotten older and declined so I guess it's still to Manny's advantage. Regardless, Marquez will win this fight! It will be another boxing lesson for Pacquiao.
