Samuel Peter: "I'm Knocking Maskaev Out in Three"

Samuel Peter, the WBC's interim-heavyweight champion, is looking to change his status when he meets the full champion Oleg Maskaev on March 8 in Cancun, Mexico. After winning two WBC eliminators with James Toney, going through a legal battle to block a proposed Maskaev showdown with Vitali Klitschko and then waiting for months as Maskaev recovered from injuries, Peter finally gets his crack at the title. Peter needs to shut his trap and try to do it......Quite frankly McCLine almost played the role of spoiler in their meeting, I feel Maskaev is a more credible opponent, but he's so slow, Peter should have an easy time. But all it takes is one shot and if Peter is in the same shape he was in when he fought McCline, he better watch out!!!

All I have to say is: He better bring his A-game early, because Maskaev wont let him off the hook like McCline did. After that, whoever wins is gona get knocked out by Vitali anyways. So, I hope they have fun holding on to the title for 4 or 5 months until the real champ takes it back.

Vitali ain't coming back. That seems pretty obvious.

I remember Holyfield's prediction from God that he would KO Lewis in round 3 of their first fight. The holy one let him down that night, but he did have some divine intervention to avoid defeat.

I suppose Peter thinks that Maskaev is just going to stand there and get hit. Who knows, it might happen? I have the feeling Maskaev is going to bounce some uppercuts off Peter's chin, then we will see who is laying on the canvass in the third round.
