Sorry but RJJ has nothing on Robinson. The technique, the experience, the longevity and the opposition SRR had is unmatched.

      Arutro Gatti

Why isn't Arturo Gatti included in the poll. I think he was pretty good.

        LMFAO.

Thanks for breaking out the old reels.

Roy would have knocked out anyone Robinson ever fought, including him.

Obviously but thats because Roy is much bigger than him, I mean Roy dominated a Heavyweight and SRR started as a Welterweight.

Most likely so. I believe Roy had the skill plus more power.

People really overrate the old times, not saying anything about SRR because he deserves whatever recognition he has, no doubt he is a greatest P4P ever, but people think Ezzard Charles would have KO'd a Prime Jones, I mean charles was good but KO Jones at his best?

Yeah I don't see how the opposition was so great back then.

Either way it's like comparing a 1950's football team to the present. LMFAO If you put any of those teams up against lets say a healthy Baltimore Ravens defense they'd all go home in body bags.

The standard of physical athleticism has increased drastically in all sports throughout the progression of time. They're evolving.

Roy would have knocked out anyone Robinson ever fought, including him.
At middleweight the older, more experienced Robinson defeats the younger, greener Jones. RJJ didn't knock Hopkins out at MW, how would he knock out a man who was never knocked out in 200 fights? He wouldn't knock Lamotta, Basilio or Fullmer out either.

A prime LHW Roy Jones might be a different story but that's over a 15 pound weight difference. RJJ at LHW wouldn't KO Joey Maxim.

Most likely so. I believe Roy had the skill plus more power.
RJJ didn't have Robinson's skill (are you kidding me?) and p4p they had equal power. SRR's power came from his technique, RJJ's from his athleticism, it's a bit different but Robinson's left hook had serious power.

People really overrate the old times, not saying anything about SRR because he deserves whatever recognition he has, no doubt he is a greatest P4P ever, but people think Ezzard Charles would have KO'd a Prime Jones, I mean charles was good but KO Jones at his best?
Some people might overrate the old times but lets be serious, I think it might be just you not knowing enough about the old times. I'm sure most of you would have no idea about SRR's opposition except Jake LaMotta. You need to know the era's to rank the fighters correctly.

Robinson fought more hall of famers than ANY other man (except maybe Henry Armstrong). His opposition is unmatched. Do you see RJJ giving Hopkins 5 rematches? He didn't even give ONE.

Whoever said RJJ had more skill is completely wrong. Both had lots of athleticism. When RJJ lost that athleticism, what happened? He got knocked out by Johnson and Tarver.

When Robinson lost that athleticism he still competed with some of the best middleweights of all time and won the world title at age 37 (after almost 200 fights).

Either way it's like comparing a 1950's football team to the present. LMFAO If you put any of those teams up against lets say a healthy Baltimore Ravens defense they'd all go home in body bags.

So you think Ali would lose to Wladimir Klitschko?
