    Choi Yo-Sam Officially Declared Brain Dead

    ********* Just reported this.

    Former WBC light featherweight champion Yo-Sam Choi, who has been in a coma since winning a bout on December 25th in Seoul, South Korea, has tragically been reported as likely brain dead by AFP. The official pronouncement is expected later today.

        Seriously this stuff happens so often in boxing.



        I recently watched this document about a journeyman who barely ever won a match but fought most of the top heavyweights of the 90's.
        Lost his life trying to box for money to pay for the funeral of his mother.

              the unfortunate side of boxing...i mean this is why i think boxing is the most respected sport out there. every time you're out there, you are putting your life on the line. you can say the same for football and other contact sports, but it's never as real as when you're in the ring with someone across from you actually trying to end you.
