i was there at the bbc awards last night was good. I saw David Haye, Gavin Ress, Junior Witter. Hatton was hilarious, he cracked a joke on his Knockout defeat, saw Lewis Hamilton, Jason Robinson, Johnny Wilkinson, Legend Micheal Johnson, Kelly holmes and a load of other great athletes. Great day

Joe's geeky face while he was holding up his award had me in stitches. Great to see little Enzo Calzaghe win the best trainer award aswell.

Tell us something we don't know. Hopknis is a recent media creation. He lost to anyone good he fought who was not a natural welterweight.

Two losses to Jermain "mediocre" Taylor, and yet the xenophobes on here still cling to the idea he's a "legend."

i hate to disagree with you, cuz ur posts are always spot on, but i have to say 20 title defneses qualifies you as being something above ordinary. while i do believe calzaghe beats hopkins, i would not say that if hopkins was 7 or 8 years younger. to each's own i guess, but i got hopkins as a philadelphia legend, personally. its all good though...

Yeah you have to respect the consistency and dedication of BOTH guys for making over twenty title defenses.

But I would rate Joe's top five defenses as at least as tough as 'Nard's top five. Yet Joe is 5-0 among those, 'Nard 3-2.

Do you think Taylor would have even made it close against Joe? Forget Trinidad and DLH.

Could Hop have defended against Kessler? I think Kessler would have destroyed him. Sure Hop could've beaten Lacy and the others, but not nearly as badly or with the style.
