lol I made this thread also. He might be able to retain this title. By smashing Hopkins and someone else
Joe Calzaghe 'the undisputed sports personality of the year.' haha
No way he smashes Hopkins, here's how the fight goes.....
Bernard waits just outside of Joe's reach, Joe throws and misses, Bernard lands a straight right counter punch flush, comes in with an accidental headbutt, ties him up, hits him on the hips and behind the head, referee seperates them, rinse and repeat.
Calzaghe will look like a human windmill with all the punches he misses. Bernard will pick his spots and outpoint him something awful. 116-112,116-112,117-111. UD.
Then Calzaghe's fans come in and ***** a fit that Bernard is "dirty". Like they never knew it before. And the poor HBO commentary crew will probably commit mass suicide when the decision is read and their beloved Welshman is finally defeated.

we'll see, I'd but 'real' money on Joe and everything.

That's the worst thing you could possibly do. I respect your support of Joe, and I respect the man himself as well. But betting money against Hopkins has never been a safe bet. He was the heavy underdog against both Trinidad, and Tarver. And here on the message boards Oscar and Winky were both heavily favored to "expose" him even though they were moving up in weight.
Even at the age of 43 (which he will be if they fight next year) his 4 losses were all very close, razor thin decisions that could've gone either way.
Well deserved and about time a boxer won this. But I do agree. The show is very embaressing to watch and there are some pointless pieces like that biker playing the piano.
