Andre Ward vs. Allan Green Unlikely For 2/2

Olympian Andre Ward (14-0, 9KOs) was ready to take a major step up in class by meeting super middleweight puncher Allan Green (25-1, 18KOs) on the undercard of an HBO televised tripleheader on February 2. Unfortunately, it's not likely to happen. [details]

      He is not ready!!!

We all saw what happened the last time a " prospect" fought Allan Green, he (Jaidon Codrington) was almost decapitated. That would be a big step up for Ward... He needs better comp but a healthy Green could contend for a title.... He almost had Miranda out..

Seriously a huge step up for Ward. You can't say that they don't believe in his skills, that is for sure.

Kindo of seems like Green went from contender to Gatekeeper very quickly, almost before he even lost. I'd have to day I don't think Ward is ready, but if he were to beat Green, he is definitely the real thing.

its probably because of what happened between him and that one guy, i forget his name, he was on the contender, that guy who knocked him down and his bad showing against miranda even though he was weight drained, it kinda sucks, they were using him as a gatekeeper against codrington also.

Andre could win this, the last guy he fought wasn't all that great but Allan Green would be a good step up in talent for him. Go Andre.

Good, it would have been a quick blowout
